Why players switch
Guessing games reward elimination: rule out digits, then narrow it down. equ8 rewards creativity instead. There's no single right answer, so two players can solve the same puzzle in completely different ways and compare scores afterwards.
Example — numbers 2, 3, 5 and 8, target 10:
2 + 8 = 10 is 3 points.
8 + 5 − 3 = 10 is 5 points.
Longer equations score more, so there's always a better answer to chase. Solve every equation to unlock Expert Mode, which adds parentheses.

Is equ8 harder than Nerdle?
It's a different kind of hard. Finding one equation is usually quick. Finding the long, high-scoring ones is where the challenge is.
