How a puzzle works

You get a handful of numbers and one target. Combine the numbers with +, −, × and ÷ to make equations that equal the target.

Each number and operator you use is worth 1 point. You can use each number once per equation, and you don't have to use them all. Longer equations score more, so the challenge is finding the cleverest route to the target, not just any route.

What's different

Wordle has one hidden word and six guesses. equ8 has no hidden answer. There are many equations that reach the target, and you're rewarded for finding longer ones. It feels less like guessing and more like building.

Solve every equation and you unlock Expert Mode, which adds parentheses and even more ways to reach the target.

Yes. equ8 keeps what makes Wordle work — one shared puzzle a day and results you can compare — but you build equations instead of guessing a word.

Is equ8 free?

Yes. The daily puzzle is free in your browser and in the apps. An optional Pro plan adds the puzzle archive and unlimited practice.

Do I need to be good at math?

No. It's everyday arithmetic, not algebra. If you want a refresher, read up on order of operations.
